        Belmont got national attention, great experience and serious motivation, which will surely be evident when the 2008-09 season opens Nov. 14 against Samford in the first of two back-to-back home games.

    Students arriving for fall semester at Belmont might notice a color scheme in signs, T-shirts and bookstore merchandise: red, white and blue.  As the university prepares to host the Town Hall Presidential Debate on Oct. 7, patriotism and democracy will take center stage in a series of convocations, speakers and special events.
